Rioni

Rioni Station is located a few kilometers south of Kutaisi. Since it’s on the main railway line connecting Western and Eastern Georgia, most local trains, except for the Tbilisi-Batumi (Stadler) express trains, stop here, making Rioni a good alternative to the dead-end Kutaisi-1. You can get from Rioni to Kutaisi-1 by minibus or taxi.

There are also trains 6353/6354 and 6355/6356 running between Rioni and Kutaisi every other day, synced with trains 853/854 Tbilisi-Ozurgeti-Tbilisi, which stop at Rioni.
